It’s our 2nd year working the runway for the Daniela Jay Fashion boutique and I’m so proud of Livvy, who patiently waited backstage for 2 hours like a pro for her turn on the catwalk! We both wore Molly Bracken outfits, and met new friends while making mommy and me memories I’ll cherish forever. Here’s a look at this year’s matching fits, and an added pic from 2022 to see how much my mini me has grown.

Beauty Claw LA + Iris Corliss

It’s heeeereeee….you have no idea how excited I am! This collab is just the most beautiful collection of quality hair clips, or claws I should say, from the colors to the names of each one, they really are just so pretty. My hair really needed a break from rubber bands, even the ones that don’t break your hair. I love a good ponytail, but the clips have saved my hair from breakage I was seeing. The best thing about these beauties truly is the quality. Much different than clips that break easily, there is an added clear layer to the prong that allows much more usage.

Our mini photo shoot took place on the tennis courts of my neighborhood, and I must say, the owner of Beauty Claw LA, Julissa, is a natural behind and in front of the camera! We had such a fun time showing off our collab “claws” that I think I need to collab again asap. Being from Florida and growing up on the beach, I had to come up with some fun names that meant something to me, and somehow these names just came to me: “Purple Coquina” is the little shell you most commonly find on the shore of the beach that are tiny and have that purple shine on the inside. “Iridescent Nacre” is also a shell with a mother of pearl look to it, one that I’d find on the Gulf Coast and collect since I was little. “Blonde Honeysuckle” just made sense with it’s wavy blonde and white design. “Blue Iris” was an obvious choice, and I’m especially in love with this color since my son’s middle name is Blue.

Yeah, I said it…go ahead…fool around a little…with Tom Foolery, the most innovative brand of jumpsuits. I promise you won’t regret it. Have you ever been to the bathroom in a jumper only to realize that you essentially have to get fully undressed in a public restroom? It’s really annoying and takes way longer to get redressed, which means you’re making your significant other wait way too long. Why do I feel like this jumper makes me the woman I always wanted to be? Could it be my love for all things innovative in fashion and design? Yes!…and this drop seat jumper is as inventive as that little wrap dress by DVF. Shannon Ashford, mastermind behind the drop seat jumper, and Southern California native, has created a womanly, classic, comfortable, design that really shows off your curves while still leaving a little to the imagination.

The first time I met Shannon, was at an event in L.A. where she was showing her jumpers. Instantly I liked her, and then tried one of her jumpers on, the “Misfit”…I fell in love. The “Misfit” is an almond colored dropseat jumper that has long sleeves, and is flowy throughout the leg, much like the “Gamechanger” I’m wearing above… only more covered on the chest for that evening wear look. Tom Foolery LA has many different versions of the dropseat jumper with black and more of a skinny leg, navy, white, gray, and on and on. I swear it’s my all time favorite article of clothing in my closet. It’s the most “me” outfit I own.

The gorgeous prints you see on the “Gamechanger’ are made by female graduates of Heri Sewing College in Kenya, and the print I’m wearing was given to Shannon as a gift by Grace, a graduate of the sewing school who is a huge inspiration to girls that attend the school. Since graduating, Grace has opened up her own sewing shop, bought her own property, built her home, invested in livestock, bought a second property, married a man of her own choosing, and she is the breadwinner of her family. All of the things Grace has accomplished are very rare where she is from. She is truly an inspiration! The material of these stunning jumpers are 50% cotton and 50% recycled plastic bottles collected in Port Au Prince, Haiti .

When I wear one of Tom Foolery’s jumpers, something truly magical happens…I feel like the best version of myself. Also, knowing that I’m contributing to another woman feeling like the best version of herself, makes me to want to buy a million more. Every fifty jumpers sold by Tom Foolery LA, gifts a scholarship to Heri Sewing College and offers opportunities for women to live autonomously. Never Have I Ever…

Have you ever played that game?  Never have I ever… been skydiving, gone skinny dipping, kissed a celebrity…. 🤫

Never have I ever worn chunky, workout sneakers with a very pretty girly dress.  The thought of sneakers used to make me cringe.  I have always loved heels, mainly because I like my legs to look a little longer. The cool thing about these sneakers is platform on the heel that gives you a little extra height.

Lately, I’ve seen sneakers being worn with everything from flowy, floral maxi dresses, to power suits, and I’m loving the look!  
Before I became a mom, you would have never caught me in trainers (aka sneakers) unless I was with an actual trainer…especially not in jeans! Now that I’ve found a look that goes with it all… you might just find me in these adidas falcons all day everyday!  

I dare you to try this chunky, white sneaker look with your next outfit… Pretty sure you’ll be hooked!
